Worship with us.
The congregation joins for worship through music, prayer and spoken word each Sunday at 10:30am. Services usually last about an hour. Everyone is invited to stay for coffee and other refreshments immediately following the service in the side of the sanctuary. The first Sunday service of every month includes Communion.
For your convenience, on Sunday mornings please enter the Harvard Street side of the church under the stone spire (400 Harvard St).
OCBC also has a weekly Sunday School program for children.
The program provides exciting curriculum on Christian education and formation that mirrors the theology and mission of OCBC and is led by our robust team of Sunday School teachers. The program is held in a downstairs classroom on Sunday during the main church service from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. We offer the program for children ages 5 to 12 years. Children younger than 5 years old are most welcome, however, we encourage one caregiver from the family to be present.
The program starts upstairs in the main sanctuary and the teachers will take the children to the classroom at the appropriate time. Our safe church policy requires two adults to always be present during the service. If you have any questions, please contact Associate Minister Rev. Naro Pongen at naro@oldcambridgebaptist.org and/or the Christian Education team chair Sue Schroen at sue.schroen@att.net.

While we don’t currently offer childcare for babies or children under 5 during the service, we strive to welcome and accommodate all families! You’re welcome to bring your baby or toddler into the service to sit with you, even if they make some noise. There is room in the sanctuary for you to bring in a stroller if needed.
If you need to step out of the service to take care of them, you can sit in the vestibule or go downstairs to the Sunday School room, which has a rocking chair and many toys. Please ask a greeter on Sunday morning if you have any other concerns.

Do you hold Communion?
On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate the ancient tradition of sharing Communion (some call this the Eucharist).
We celebrate open communion, inviting anyone to the table (including children) who wish to find sustenance in community and to share in the life of peace and justice taught to us by Jesus.
You don't have to "believe" anything in particular to partake. This simple meal is a symbol of our community together with one another striving to follow in the ways of Jesus.
