Most Sundays during the academic year, we hold an Adult Forum after the worship service from noon until 1:30 p.m. Each forum includes a presentation on an issue of interest to the congregation, followed by a chance for dialogue with the presenter(s). Adult forums are a good time to socialize over lunch and to engage with others on critical issues of the day and on questions of faith and spirituality.
Topics include racial justice, climate change, economic justice, the history of Baptists, and LGBTQ rights. In some forums a member of the church shares her or his spiritual life journey. Other forums provide opportunities to engage with the pastor on the sermon of the day. Everyone in the congregation is welcome to attend, including first-time visitors.
A light lunch is served.
